On June 28 th and 29 th of this year, the initial Multi-Platform
Gambling Forum was hosted at the Royal Garden Hotel in London.
This forum, which had been organized by key players in the
gambling industry, came to the decision that such a forum
was needed because of the speedily diversifying nature of
the industry. With both wireless gambling and online gambling
now available, along with traditional forms of gambling,
the Multi-Platform Gambling Forum has been seen to serve
as an excellent way for bringing participants in the Internet
gambling industry together in order that they may learn about
and investigate new ideas and developing technologies that
contribute to the ever growing diversity of the gambling
industry.
Some of the key subjects that were discussed at the conference
were the convergence of mobile gaming with online, interactive
TV, and cross-platform games, and tournaments, and lastly
where the industry is going. There were also discussions
regarding the advertising of cross-platform gaming systems
and maintenance of a computerized back-office system.
Representatives of Chartwell Games, FUN Technologies, Gala,
and Orange, were present at the conference as speakers, offering
insights and information regarding the business of Internet
gambling. Conference organizers also hosted “networking
drinks”, or events that helped conference attendees
get to know each other and form cooperative ventures.
