The cheer is going
up from many in response to Britain’s recent approval
of legislation slated to introduce regulated online gambling.
The CEO of Chartwell Technology, Larry Richardson, is reported
as saying that the new legislation will contribute to the
creation of an online gambling environment removed scams
fraud, and cons. The legislation is scheduled to go into
effect in the United Kingdom starting in 2006, and Richardson
sees its introduction as serving as an imputes to other European
nations which may indeed take similar action. Of the G-7
countries, Britain is the first to actually set up a set
of rules and regulations covering the online gambling industry.
The Canadian-based online gambling software maker, Chartwell,
has received additional good news. Its stock experienced a
boost to $10.95 a share in midday trading on the Toronto Stock
Exchange. This is an increase of 10 cents.
