Google, the internet’s top search engine, says that its research shows a rising popularity in Internet bingo across every age group and both genders and is now the most popular rival to online poker.
The Google statement says “Bingo has caught up with online poker and a race is under way to decide which game is the most dominant. With the presence of so many online bingo operators, competition is becoming fiercer and this is forcing bingo sites to offer more and more benefits, bingo bonuses and other enticements to ensure loyalty and traffic.”
”Bingo was once considered to be a female game, but the stigma has diminished as more and more male players are found in the chat rooms of online bingo halls. The wide offerings and the social and communal nature of the game together with the quality of the service are the main reasons for the increasing popularity.”
Another advantage held by bingo, says Google, is that the variations of the game are easy and straightforward to play. Unlike poker, online bingo players do not need to wager large amounts of money as bingo cards are generally reasonably priced.
Unlike poker, online bingo can be played while browsing the Internet and paying minimum attention to the game. In the modern online game, play is almost automatic and players are not expected to call out ‘bingo!’ when they’ve won. What a player has to do, however, is to purchase cards before a session starts.
