Manx Award For Microgaming

The Isle of Man has made an award to top turnkey provider and software developer in the online gambling industry, Microgaming, for its contribution to their economy. The company received recognition this week in the Isle of Man Newspaper Awards 2006 held in the capital, Douglas.

Microgaming had entered the competitive in the category of New Organization of the Year, which was open to any company which has been operating on the Island between two and 10 years. 

The evening’s host - former Tory MP and broadcaster Gyles Brandreth described the company as “....part of the next wave of business to take the Island into the future, ” in announcing that Microgaming had won

Roger Raatgever, Chief Executive Officer commented on the win and  said: “I can only quote from part of our award citation: “Microgaming quickly realized that the Internet was not just a version of an offline casino room, but a totally new playing experience with the potential to entertain and engage people in new ways.  It also realized that to achieve this it would require constant evolution and innovation.”

“I wish to thank our staff for their part in bringing this vision to fruition and making this win possible.”
