One of the sure things about online gambling, is that it is no sure thing - both for the gamblers and for the companies.

This was made clear over the last few months of last year.
Indeed, in September CEO of Party Gaming, Richard Segal depressed share prices when he publicly stated his pessimistic views on the online poker scene.
Last week, however, he was singing a different tune which was reported throughout the UK media.
In a recent interview with Reuters, Segal's reforming optimism has been closely connected to the boost from technology and the promise of things to come.
It's no wonder why he should show such optimism.
In 2005, internet poker becomes an established place in the industry. It resulted in the flotation of several companies, revenues of over $2 billion and the introduction of several more games and books that are topping European Christmas lists.
Of that $2 billion, Party Gaming enjoys around fifty-percent. Nevertheless, it still has many plans to continue growing.
Indeed, it is turning to technology to access more people, more of the time.
It is currently assessing options from mobile phones to interactive television.
Segal states, accessibility is key.
In his interview he admitted to not inventing anything new. His company is using the technology already available to make access to games even more convenient.
Party Gaming has big plans for the future.
During this year it is scheduled to launch PartyCasino, a site which will run parallel to Starluck Casino and two other games yet to be introduced.
The new games will vary from a 'person to person' skill game as well as gaming such as that found in casinos.
The new direction of Party Gaming hope to make games not only more accessible for players, but with cross-gaming between sites the company hopes to benefit by being able to cross-market it sites.
While like for most online gaming companies, the majority o the revenue is sourced from America, Party Gaming is looking to launch in several other countries and languages.
Moving to various technologies has proven both successful and challenging. While some, such as interactive television has proven promising, playing though the mobile is more volatile.
In the future, Segal hopes to overcome these technical difficulties.
