Having recently bought three online sportsbooks and casinos, BetonSports has itself wagered over $37 million to expand itself in this field. For this sum, BetonSports will acquire MVPSortbook, Player Super Book and V-Wager. Depending on how the businesses shape up, BetonSport could be paying up to $16.8 million dollars in cash for their acquisitions. Obviously, for the company they have relished the opportunity to expand, especially with the purchase of brands already well established and respected within the industry. BetonSports initially found success by confirming the sports betting margins for American NFL. Their name became more established after several favorites won. While the company doesn’t expect huge margins in the beginning, they hope this regain its normal levels by the end of the financial year. As BetonSports Chief Excecutive, David Carruthers explained, by the balance of the financial year, they expect the results to be in order. There have been several internal changes to the company. Craig Lapsley, finance director for BetonSports recently stepped down from his position on the board. He will continue working as secretary for the company. While his permanent replacement is located, Richard Creed will take Lapsley's seat. With all the changes, BetonSports's shares were down by over two percent.
