Big Ticket Events And Well Known Poker Celebrities To Take Charge Of This Poker Networking Space

Poker Battle.com, a new 'big player' community website, has joined the rapidly increasing international poker social networking scene this week, and has announced its arrival with features such as a top market fashion line planned for September 2008 and in-house multichannel video and audio.

This events-based website will launch in early September as the main event of the Partouche Poker Tour in Cannes, France. The main launch is scheduled to take place in London as a part of the World Series of Poker Europe, at the end of that month.

The new site is to contain a wide range of 'poker lifestyle' content, along with original reality-based shows that feature various poker celebrities as well as poker players, game shows, online radio, and podcasts. There will also be 'available online only' fashions, in addition to sitcoms, and movies. Philippe Rouas, the expert French poker player and businessman is the driving force behind the community and is its founder. Rouas in Las Vegas where he is readying his 'Poker Battle World Headquarters and Broadcast Studios.'

As a means of promoting this new concept for online gaming, Rouas has hired the services of such well-known online and land poker professionals as Noah Schwartz, Nenad Medic, Glen Chorny, Eric Mizrachi, Scotty Nguyen, Chris Ferguson, David "Chino" Rheem, David Williams, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi, Rob Mizrachi, Tiffany Michelle, Nam Le, Steve Song, Evelyn Ng, Patryk Hildebranski, John Phan Jean Robert Bellande, Wayne and Emeline Boich, Johnny Chan, and Alan Smurfit.

The group has been called the "Poker Battle Warriors" and it is their function to ensure a high profile for the community site as well as its activities.

There are other big plans being put together by Rouas and these include a high stakes, Poker Battle Pro Tour that includes five events. The work is already in progress and the completion is set for the second quarter of 2009, in Las Vegas. There will be awards that are now being planned that include the award of some hand-crafted platinum-and-precious-stones jewelry to the top player of the main event, along with a assured winner's prize of $5 million.

There is also a new online poker community site branded Poukker.com, but at a somewhat lower, yet still interesting level. This site invites poker fans to share stories and other information through this online community, which is a Twitter hybrid. It is up to the players if their posts are delivered to the whole network, or only to specific named friends.
