Using Delta Flights to Sharpen Your Skills

Delta Airlines is trying its best to sell seats and at the same time make the long, boring coast-to-coast flights more interesting by adding Texas Hold 'Em poker to their on-demand digital entertainment package which is available to every passenger.

Jim Whitehurst, Delta chief operating officer said in an interview, “Our focus for this industry-leading service is on the highest-volume transcontinental markets from Atlanta and New York City where Delta is a major competitor for long-haul customer loyalty.”

“We are continually making improvements to our domestic product which complements our international growth and the overall transformation of our network. This new service will also be available to customers flying from Florida to the West Coast, as well as on many of our overseas routes.”

Delta expects to have all flights from JFK to the west coast fitted with the on-demand service by the end of November. On the company's Web site, a TV icon next to flights will show customers which flights provide the on-demand digital entertainment service.

At the moment the game is available on flights of more than 1,750 miles or 4 hours duration, starting with journeys from New York's JFK airport and Atlanta with destinations such as Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Seattle.
