Once again, London's Leicester Square will serve as the venue for UK poker action. As a reprise of last year's popular "Poker in the Park" festival, there will appear next week a presentation each evening between August 15 and 16. The game’s profile will definitely be heighten in preparation for the World Series of Poker Europe, which is scheduled to take place on the square, at the Empire casino, between September 19th and October 2nd.
The Poker Dome will be sponsored by the Internet 3D poker website PKR.com as Poker in the Park runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. each evening. Internet 3D poker website PKR.com is scheduled to host free hourly Texas Hold'em single-table sit-and-go tournaments. A number of interesting competitions are included in the event schedule, including the LondonPubPoker Trophy; the SubTV Student Poker League Cup; the Nuts Poker League Challenge; the Royal Surrey Tournament; the England Poker League Cup and the Bluff Europe Championship the Poker Project Trophy.
A Poker Academy throughout the poker festival will be hosted by UltimateBet and Absolute Poker, where the poker pros who endorse these online poker operations will provide all comers with free advice and ideas for players attending their presentations. Other attractions are book readings and many lectures by big names in the game.
