3 Million Per Week Betting on Company Time

BetRescue, an online odds comparison site, has released the results of a survey they carried out which shows that a significant number of British gamblers use their workplace to indulge their gambling habits.

British office workers gamble over ₤2 billion online while they are at work, according to the study, and the number of adults who admit using their company's computers for internet gambling each week is almost three million.

Players are spending an average of ₤23 each betting on horses, football, lotteries, poker rooms, casinos and other gaming sites. Over the course of a year, the average work-time gambler gets through around ₤1,200.

This may be good news for the betting places, but the survey showed that that less than a quarter of the cash wagered is won back. This is not very encouraging for the players!
