A director of the company since 2005, Nigel Simon has stepped down from the board of Cryptologic having successfully completed his directorate responsibilities and providing special assistance in the company relocation to Dublin, Ireland and subsequent reorganization.
Prior to joining Cryptologic Simon held senior management and executive positions for 20 years with Gallaher Group PLC, an approximately $4 billion FTSE 50 and NYSE-listed international tobacco company based in the UK. He also serves as a trustee for a major UK charity and as a mentor for the Prince's trust charity - a charity founded by the Prince of Wales to help less-privileged young adults make a business start.
Three new members to the board of directors were welcomed by Stikeman who commented that the company had recruited the “seasoned business people” from Europe and Asia to reflect the company's new European headquarters and its broader global strategy.
Brian Hadfield has held senior roles at Unisys Ltd. in a 21-year career, including that of managing director and vice president for the U.K., the Middle East and Singapore.
Tom Byrne is a chartered accountant who worked for 14 years at a Dublin brokerage firm. Byrne rose to the position of head of corporate finance. He also served as a partner at an international accounting firm and is currently the nominee of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland to the board of the Irish Takeover Panel.
Wai Ming Yap is a lawyer with Stamford Law Corporation in Singapore. He also sits on public company boards in Hong Kong, and is a specialist in the gaming and leisure law sectors. Yap has great experience in his field.
