The 2005 UK Poker Open Tournament attracted a record number of players as well as a prize. With one million dollars at stake and a winners purse of half a million dollars, this year looks to be exceeding last year's attractions.
Scheduled to take place between October and September, poker professionals and other players are attempting to qualify online in hope of participating in the televised event. The satellites are already in place and working and will continue as such way into September. This allows participants a maximum opportunity to win a $7 500 prize package to the tournament.
The sit and go games and multiple table games costing less than five dollars to enter are another channel through which players can attempt to qualify for the event. Winners from these events will compete every Sunday for a UK Poker Open prize package including the buy in required for the big event.
Registering will otherwise cost just over one hundred dollars, but seats are limited.
