Betfair and Orbis join ranks to offer new access to system

The British subsidiary of the NDS group, Orbis, recently publicly announced an exclusive agreement with Betfair.
Betfair is a betting exchange. Together the two will offer a new service that they claim will revolutionize the sports betting industry.
Thanks to the Betfair Interface model, Orbis' major clients such as Ladbrokes, Sky Bet, Victor Chandler, Tote, UK Betting PLC, Paddy Power, Blue Square, IGH, Globet, Littlewoods and Betway will be able to seamlessly access and interact directly with the Betfair system. This is thanks to the data fee accessing Betfair's market, prices and events.
Customers will be able to enjoy more competitive prices as well as a larger range of events in which to  participate.
This is the first and only partnership of its kind. The deal is a watershed for the online gaming industry. The Betfair Open Bet system allows all bets from multiple channels and products bet from a single account and all being processed through one location.
According to Managing Director of Orbis – David Loveday, the partnership is truly individual. The collaboration between the two companies allows each to benefit from its customer base along with top technology and customer service. Operator's risk is also minimized thanks to the deal and together they can offer more competitive prices.
