Women's poker team for heart disease

Party Poker.com, The Internet's largest poker site, recently announced its intention to partner with the international women's magazine Elle to sponsor a women's charity team. The team will participate in the upcoming World Series of Poker Ladies Event. The tournament starts July ninth.

The women will compete under the title "Queens of Heart". The women's team will include Hollywood star and WSOP bracelet winner Jennifer Tilly. She will also play for the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign.

The rest of the team will include an array of well known celebrities and stars, as well as profession female poker players. These will include players such as Lisa Tenner, actress Shannon Elizabeth, poker professionals Anne Spinetti, Kristy Gazes, Alison Worth, Karina Jett, Maureen Feduniak, Linda Johnson, Jan Fisher, Jennifer "Jennicide" Leigh, Wendeen Eolis, "King Of Vegas" star Katie Porrello, Irina Cornides and documentary director Susan Genard, Lori Sale, Hillary Kerr, and Leslie Eichner.

The intention of the team is to promote awareness of heart disease, a major killer of women today. Each member of the team has made an agreement to donate a percentage of their winnings to AHA.
According to Tilly, she is thrilled about the opportunity to make aware a disease effecting thousands of women around the world.
