Managers learn gaming safety measures

Last week saw the second annual gathering for a training course in Responsible Gambling held in London.
Top tier online casinos were represented at the course by members of management. The course was held and run by eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance (eCOGRA) and the G4 responsible gaming specialist group.
Thomas Nilsson and Rob t'Hondt gave the course members their salute from the G4 course leaders. Both Nilsson and t'Hondt review responsible gaming measures as instructed and implements by eCOGRA. The group rewards sites with the Play it Safe seal and teaches the complex problem of problem gambling.
In his remarks t'Hondt expressed his amazement at the groups achievement in implementing responsible gaming practices. He added that over the last year these, since the first training course, the association has been proud to be associated with the achievements of the internet sites as well as the respect for the clients that this indicates.
He added eCOGRAs commitment to training and review session as part of its agreement with the sites. T'hondt acknowledged the demand and expense of being committed to the organizations high standards, however, he promised that it was an investment that will gain returns as customers the safety and security measures that have been implemented.

According to his speech he praised the representatives for helping stabilizing the market which will lead to further progress.

according to Nilsson, a Swedish psychologist a survey of ten thousand gamblers indicated an increase in women with gambling problems. He added that men and women face different problems and preferences in gambling. men leaned more towards games that involved some level of skill combined with luck. On the other hand, women mostly played games totally dependent on luck such as slots, keno and bingo.

The Canadian Problem Gambling Index (CPGI) is being endorsed by several users. This is a self test that helps determine if a player has or is developing a problem.
The two day course involved reviewing identification techniques, problem gambler motivations and characteristics, practical procedures and interventions in problem gambling issues, and role-playing exercises.
