British gaming conference to be held in October

British authorities are hinting at October as the month for the anticipated summit on UK gambling reform.
According to Tessa Jowell the Culture Secretary, the aim of the summit is to create an international agreement and code of practice for the gaming industry.
Britain is intending on creating internationally consistent controls for gaming sites amongst offshore gambling centers, especially those who maintain the largest share in the industry. These include: Gibraltar, the Cayman Islands, the Turks and Caicos Islands, Antigua and Costa Rica to agree to new internationally consistent controls on the sites.

According to Jowell, the British governments is intending to include the International Monetary Fund and World Trade Organization, along with ministers from all the main offshore gambling jurisdictions.
