An agreement of partnership was signed this week between Gibraltar-based online gambling group 888.com and Technology Solutions plc (“GTS”), the gaming software solutions provider. The aim of the partnership is to use the open GTS EdGE gaming platform and 888’s Integration Platform to create a new gaming integration standard. With this new common standard it will now be possible for 888 to accelerate its time-to-market factor with regard to new games being played across multiple platforms.
With this move, local games developers will be able to tap into 888’s global footprint using the expanded application program interface (API) which is being offered by EdGE and 888’s Integration Platform. They will do this by combining it with the GTS localization tool for 26 languages.
Within the aspects of this partnership agreement during Q2 2008, 888 and GTS will make available to the online community their own label games, in conjunction with third party games using the newly created API.
Gigi Levy, 888.com CEO, referring to his company's merger stated that his company sees it as being another key development in opening up their online platform for the simple and easy integration of games from other providers throughout diverse geographical markets.
Levy notes that his company believes that with the combined services of GTS that will have created the most inclusive and integrated API in the present-day online gaming industry. This, he says will enable them to be the first to offer new and exciting games to their fast expanding community of players throughout the world. GTS managing director, Steven Matsell says that his company is very pleased that 888 has selected them as its games integration partner, and has decided on the EdGE platform and API as being the most adaptable solution for delivering the most outstanding games from world class developers. Matsell says that his company is looking forward to working with 888, which they view as being one of the world’s most popular online gaming entertainment companies. This, he says, while provide them with the flexibility that they have needed in order to deliver content across all possible channels.
