PKR.com, the 3D online poker firm, announced this week in a press release that the Hitwise Gambling (Poker) category now shows its poker website as coming out on top, and with regard to hits by UK players, actually finishing ahead of such major players as VC Poker, Ladbrokes Poker and William Hill Poker.
Hitwise functions as an online competitive service to produce intelligence providing understanding with regard to the interactions among approximately 8.4 million Internet users including in access of 1 million websites covering 160 industries throughout the UK.
With regard to the Gambling-Poker sector, Hitwise reports that based on the market share of visits among all UK websites, PKR.com ranked 1st, exceeding the activities of its major rivals.
Simon Prodger, PKR.com's Marketing Director, is reported as saying that the company is very happy with having attained this award. He points to his company's outstanding growth and says that there are no indications of it slowing down in the future. He notes that their site has never accepted US players meaning that to achieve this top ranking in the UK is truly fantastic.
This reward comes after the site's impressive beginning performance for 2008 introducing the next generation poker room. By February of this year, PKR.com had already hit the 1.5 million user mark, and by the month's end the site had reached number 17th on Pokerscout.com’s online poker real money gaming report, and in so doing had overtaken more established sites like Betfair and Ladbrokes.
