Following a distribution agreement with GamArena AB, the Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad’s online site is about to offer their readers a wide range of next generation skill games. These will include Backgammon, 8-Ball Pool, Solitaire and Golf Hole-in-One.
Andrew Pegler, GamArena’s MD, said, “my company is excited at having clinched the contract. This brings the company to a working relationship with a premium brand.”
A white label site will be launched in a joint venture between the two companies towards the end of May. The site will be fully branded as Nieuwsblad.be, winning the approval of the paper’s parent company Corelio Media Group. As a result of the current arrangement, Corelio’s online business is expected to grow. GamArena intends to expand alongside it, providing peer-to-peer content and support services.
Patrick Salien, Managing Director of Nieuwsblad.be., said in a statement “Games are becoming an important part of our online offering and p2p skill games are providing enormous entertainment to players. So far, we are really impressed by the quality of the GamArena proposition.”
