Thomas Auriemma, the long-serving Director of Gaming Enforcement for New Jersey, retired last month and was replaced this week by Yvonne G. Maher who has been appointed his acting successor. Ms. Maher’s statement was made immediately on her appointment.
Ms. Maher previously worked as an assistant Atlantic County prosecutor for two years.
Ms. Maher (45) is an assistant attorney general and veteran prosecutor for the state, and was a member of the Casino Protection Bureau in the Division of Criminal Justice for more than four years. She prosecuted casino-related criminal cases.
