Playtech becomes member of Trade Association, RGA

Playtech, the reputed supplier of turnkey online casino and poker room software has joined the British Trade Association – the Remote Gambling Association (RGA).
Playtech became a member of RGA recently after acquiring a Certificate of Prior Approval from the third largest Channel Island, known as Alderney. It also came on the hills of a migration of the Hard Rock Casino, also belonging to the group, and also licensed in Alderney.
There are several conditions to obtaining membership. The first is that software providers have to already be licensed. Licensing has to be either direct or the company's product has to have a minimum of one remote gambling operator that has a license and operates in the European Economic Area (EEA), Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.
Only recently founded, July 2005, the RGA was born after the Association of Remote Gambling Operators (ARGO) and the Interactive Gaming, Gambling and Betting Association (IGGBA) merged together. Today, the organizations main intention is to benefit and provide service to remote gambling operators and their central concerns and interests.
The RGA is reputed for its high standards, especially in regards to probity and integrity within betting, gambling and gaming. This is for the benefit of both the gaming public and the gaming industry. RGA represents its members interest to government and public bodies.

According to Playtech spokesman, the group is highly satisfied with their recent entrance to membership with RGA. They agree the organizations work is invaluable and has added to the industry and they will best represent Playtech's interests to the various regulatory authorities.
