A new acquisition has been made, for the wee sum of $3.85 million. Lorne abony's Canadian public company, Fun Technologies recently acquired the assets and business of Silver Holdings, Ltd. Silver Holdings is a Boca Raton-based parent company of Fantasy sports, Inc. The $3. 85 million was paid in cash at the closing and includes the assumption of particular operating liabilities. Silver Holdings gains about $2 million thanks to the sale. CEO and president of Silver Holdings, Clive Kabatznik, commented that over the last year the company and refocused its attention on the acquisition of broad based entertainment software companies and platforms. Consequently, Fantasy Sports became banal in regards to their core holdings, especially those needed to encourage future growth.
As a result of the sale, Silver Holdings can concentrate on the acquisition and operation of those companies more suited to their overall growth strategy. Money made from the sale will be spent paying off debts and for future acquisitions. Indeed, the company has over $15 million in cash.
