News reports coming out of Holland state that Ernst Hirsch Ballin, the Dutch minister of justice, intends to clamp down on internet gambling which is illegal.
A number of internet gambling sites in Holland are pressing the ministry of justice in Holland. Both home and overseas based gambling firms are targeted. Furthermore, the minister of justice reported to the local banks too that they could face prosecution as they too would be considered as acting outside the law if their customers include gambling internet sites.
The government controls all gambling in Holland. If they do not obtain permission, firms are not allowed to gamble. This is nothing new in Holland, as in the preceding year the minister of justice claimed that Unibet, the internet gambling company in Sweden and Oranje Casino a company in Holland would not be entitled to have their transactions processed by local banks.
Holland and Greece are still in disagreement with the EU due to the fact that they do not want to expose their gaming markets to the other members of the European Union and terminate gambling monopolies of the states.
There is a plethora of such predicaments in the sphere of global internet gambling. Each firm is endeavoring to hang on to their cut of the market as income for internet gambling operators is rising all the time.
