Seventh Annual Asian i-Gaming Congress and Expo to Be Held in Macau

On February 24th through February 26th, 2009, the seventh Annual Asian i-Gaming Congress and Expo will be held in Macau.

Macau represents the first settlement of Europeans in the Far East. In 1987, China and Portugal signed an agreement which made Macau on December 20th 1999, a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of the People's Republic of China.  Except for foreign and defense affairs, Macau operates within a high degree of autonomy with regard to all matters. The territory attracted tens of billions of dollars in foreign investment, following its opening up in 2001, of its locally controlled casino industry to foreign competition. This solid attraction of funds helped transform it into the world's largest gaming center. By the year 2006, Macau's gaming revenue had already surpassed that of the casinos of the Las Vegas strip.

It is likely that the huge success of the AiG experienced last year when over 500 participants showed up will likely be repeated this year. It will again be hosted at the lovely Venetian-Macao-Resort-Hotel, and include large numbers of delegates from the Americas and Europe who are looking for opportunities for themselves in the region. Included in this will be a large number from Asia, accenting the fact that the online gambling industry has truly established itself within the Asian region.

Because of the excellent infrastructure possessed by Macau, traveling to and around Macau has become quick and simple. During the three day event, dealing with all of the latest technology and innovations being presented may actually be more difficult. All of the major luminaries in online gambling business will be there at this year's expo guaranteeing to make AiG something definitely special within a plethora of conferences and expos linked with online gambling.

There is a very long and impressive listing of those who are confirmed speakers for the event including such special individuals just to name a few, as the CEO of Spin3, Matti Zinder, and  the president of PhilWeb, Dennis Valdes. In addition to that, the AiG show has already been sold out, being an indication that the online gambling industry is definitely enthusiastically entering into the Asian market.
