Paddy Power, the Irish bookmaker has announced annual results showing an impressive turnover increase of 31 percent, amounting to almost €1 billion.
The Group gross win rose by 36 percent to €219 million, boosted by a heartening 64 percent increase in winnings from online gaming and FOBTs, the company said. The operating profit was up 51 percent to €45.5 million while profit before tax rose 52 percent to €47.6 million. Paddy Power.
Online gross win increased by 57 percent to 67.4 million and online operating profits rose 38 percent to €23.4 million.
Reporting on its booming online activities, a company spokesman stated that when measured by the number of visitors, the continued enhancement of its online activities had made Paddy Power.com the third largest online sportsbook in the UK.
