Disclaimer Follows Approach By NETeller Lawyers

The Isle of Man e-wallet NETeller has taken legal steps to warn the new e-Wallet company “YouTeller” against infringing on its brand. The move quickly evoked a disclaimer which appeared on the YouTeller website advising: "Seed Capital Ltd. is not affiliated with, related to or endorsed by NETeller Plc."

Little additional information appears about the new e-wallet and the businessmen behind it and to date, YouTeller remains something of an enigma in the market. Rumors suggest that those involved have previous exposure in the bustling online gambling industry, but no evidence has been produced to support this and no facts are available.

YouTeller certainly does not appear to have big plans at present. Its sole spokesman,  Florian Schweitzer has responded that YouTeller is based on the Google G-mail model which builds business on referrals from members and not by direct marketing. He also said that YouTeller’s infrastructure could not handle the volume of a full public opening and would continue to meet its goal of providing "stable service and reliable support."

"We are targeting people who play community-orientated online games like poker, chess or role-playing games," said a spokesman, explaining that a 150 Euro limit would be in force on each account to discourage money-laundering or terrorist activity.

Earlier this year Schweitzer said that during March 2007 YouTeller.com will invite 1,000 applicants, apparently already signed up during the pre-registering period, to become members. “No public account registration is planned for the coming few months" he added.
