Week workshop against money laundering to be held in Antigua

Antigua and Barbuda will be hosting a week workshop in combating money laundering.
The training workshop will include many regional regulators on online gambling sites as well as internet gaming operations.
The workshop will take place over a week, it will be presented by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Also collaborating is the Financial Sector Reform and Strengthening Initiative (FIRST) as well as the Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP).

Kay McDonal, the Director of Gaming in the Financial Service Regulatory Commission said the purpose of the workshop is to be highly interactive. To ensure this they have provided a forum for reviewing the new international standards that are now applicable to casinos and internet gaming entities and their regulators.

Also part of the program is an examination of the main vulnerabilities associated with money laundering, their risks and how they apply to this sector.
