Fans will be able to access the Pokerzone's popular show through the Viasat Channel known as Quiz Nation. Scandinavian fans will be able to enjoy the show every night between the hours of 11pm to 4am. Poker Night Live is claiming to be the first integrated program that mixes both internet actions and television output. The show includes expert presenters and guests, who commentate throughout, while viewers are able to play live on the channel through their internet.
Since being launched in April the show's popularity has only increased. Currently, over 200,000 viewers a week nationwide are watching and or participating. Included in the program are a range of cash games, single table competitions and they have recently launched a multi-table tournament where over one-hundred people can play at the same time.
The public demand to improve poker skills, Pokerzone has also made itself available to the Scandinavian, European and Canadian markets. Jim Sibcy, the managing director of Pokerzone commented on his company's excitement as the obvious progression of the program. He says the company has plans to take Poker Night Live to Europe and the United Kingdom.
According to Creative Director, Sam Orams, the Scandinavian version will be using Scandinavian presenters. This is to ensure viewers are able to make a connection and feel involved.
