US Player Funds Safe and Sound in Isle Of Man

The fallout for American online gamblers caused by the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act continued this week with many American online players trying to withdraw their funds from the Isle of Man regulated NETeller e-processor. NETeller itself is apparently frozen by US actions that prevent it from paying out to US players.

Not only has UIGEA screwed up most financial options available to US players, but it has complicated the financial channels which NETeller can use to pay out the tens of thousands of Americans left out in the cold by its decision to block all US business.

NETeller management is trying to figure out a way to get players’ money to them and company spokesmen have given the assurance: “We are working to resolve all withdrawal issues as a top priority, but in the meantime we continue to maintain these funds in trust on your behalf. Please check this page regularly for more updates.”

The volume of enquiries to the e-processor has been tremendous and NETeller's answering service carries the message “NETeller does not have an estimated time for resolution.”

The company has also made a new information email service available. Players can subscribe to it by visiting the update page and sending NETeller their email address.

NETeller assures players that it is doing everything it can to resolve a difficult situation. In the meantime players can rest assured that in terms of the strict Isle of Man financial regulations, all money in suspended accounts is being held safely in trust, and will become available soon.

A NETeller decision to suspend ATM card privileges for Americans further added to the anxiety and frustration of US players last weekend.
