The High Heels Poker Tour was a concept developed last year, by the high-energy promoter Lauren Failla and represents a new dimension in women's live poker branded. High Heels Poker Tour.com is the Web site sporting the tour, which features an online poker club. For a $30 annual fee you can become a member and receive information on hotel discounts, upcoming events, giveaways, as well as eligibility for free seat drawings. There are other specials, and perks included such as hospitality rooms and private receptions.
In the short period of six months this HHPT which is based in Florida, has made sure its status among woman everywhere through its expansion across the Gulf and East Coasts.
Tunica, Mississippi will be the venue for the High Heel Poker Tour to take place next week at the Gold Strike Casino. This is set for January 6th when the tour will host this live inaugural event as a part of the World Series of Poker Circuit stop. Council Bluffs, Iowa has been selected for a second event to take place on February 24th, 2008. The event will be hold at Harrah's Horseshoe.
Reports from Failla are saying that the Harrah staff has been extremely cooperative and helpful and she predicts that the event will be even more interesting and exciting for the female players. There is a planned initial starting stack of 10,000 chips along with 40-minute rounds.
Last year Failla worked out an agreement with the World Series of Poker designed to give the High Heels Poker Tour and its members the chance to win a seat at the Caesar’s Palace 'Ladies Only' poker camp. This is scheduled to take place on January 25th through the 26th. The only requirement needed to participate in the draw for a seat is membership in the High Heels Poker Tour. The draw took place on New Year's Day and Fort Lauderdale, Florida’s Paula Ettline, won the tuition grant to the poker camp.
