It has been reported through a press release this week that Gary Loveman, the well known Las Vegas chief executive will stay in control of Harrah's Entertainment Inc., the gambling giant.
The up and coming merger to take place in the early part of 2008 between Harrah's and TPG and Apollo Management, L.P. affiliates, will not affect Loveman's position as chairman, president and CEO, and he is expected to remain in his present position.
With early beginnings going back to seventy years ago in Reno Nevada, Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. is known to be the world's largest supplier of recognized casino entertainment. Since its early beginnings, the development of new properties has led to Harrah's growth as it has also expanded through acquisitions, at the present time owning and managing casinos on four continents.
The brand names Harrah's, Caesars and Horseshoe are the names used primarily in operating the company’s properties and it I also owner of the London Clubs International family of casinos.
