From every angle, the Super Bowl is a huge betting frenzy. With less than two weeks to go till the big game, sports bettors in Las Vegas are focusing their attention to the propositions – or props. The props are wagers offered by sports books on unique and rare betting opportunities. For example they can be based on the statistics of individual players. They can even include cross-sports betting that can link the super bowl with other sports such as basketball, golf or hockey. Nevertheless the more traditional props will be offered at the start, with the more bizarre ones being offered later on. While the traditional props are less exciting, they are more financially attractive. Many wager on the possibility of the game going into overtime. However, according to statistics over the last few years the odds are not so high. Betting on overtime is often a favorite amongst punters since generally you are not expected to lay out high amounts. Many would even consider it amongst the best bets in a casino. Total turnovers refers to fumbles lost by the team members. Since the teams have reached the Super Bowl it's a sign they are fundamentally sound. Another favorite amongst bettors is scoring in the last two minutes of the game. Many wager on the possibility of either side making a score in the last two minutes of the first half. Several sports books have already released the odds of next years Super Bowl winner. They have also begun releasing the odds on college football winners.
